Arborlawn's Women of the Word (WoW) organization is conducting three study groups for the Winter/Spring 2015 term. The studies, featuring books by Beth Moore and John MacArthur, meet at 10:00 a.m. in Rooms 222, 224, and 225. See the lineup below.
“Children of the Day: 1 & 2 Thessalonians” – Walk the shores of Thessalonica in this Beth Moore verse-by-verse study. You’ll learn how to let go of past mistakes and discover your circumstances are not coincidental – God’s timing is impeccable! Wednesdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m., Room 225. Led by Pam Horton and Dana Cook.
“Jesus the One and Only” – Join Beth Moore in this life-changing journey leading you through Galilee with the Teacher, across the lake with the Master, and finally, on the road toward the cross with the Savior. Get to know Jesus intimately... as if you had walked with Him during His days of earthly ministry. You are warmly welcomed to participate in this study. There are 11 sessions, running from January 14 to March 25 or April 1 (if we choose the latter date, it will allow for a spring break). After the initial meeting, our Wednesday sessions will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. This is an in-depth study of the life of Christ based on the Book of Luke, a good way to lead up to Easter. Contact Jan Crowell if you need a study book; or purchase one ahead of our first meeting. Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Room 222. Led by Jan Crowell.
“The Book of John” – The Gospel of John is filled with profound truths and rich spiritual stories; stories of Christ’s miracles that inspire His followers; stories of death that redeems the lost; and the stories of Resurrection that provides us with hope for eternal glory. Every miracle, teaching, and reaction John writes has one clear purpose: to prove that Jesus is the Word, the Messiah, and the Son of God. This is a twelve-week study with study questions, the Bible verses included, and study notes by the author. Wednesdays, Starting January 14, 10:00-11:30 a.m., Room 224. Led by Lisa Garrett.
