We invite all women of Arborlawn to attend the Abingdon Women event here on Thursday, May 2 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The evening will feature worship music and talks by various United Methodist authors. Drop in early for a meet-and-greet with the musicians and authors at 6:30 p.m.
Worship for this exciting women's event will be led by Babbie Mason. Featured authors include Babbie Mason, Jessica LaGrone, and Kim Reisman.
Babbie Mason is an award winning gospel singer who has sung for Barbara Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Colin Powell, President Carter and many others. She has written a new book titled "Embraced by God: Celebrating Who and Whose You Are." When you meet her, you will meet a friend with a love for God and people.
Jessica LaGrone is an Associate Pastor at The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Her absolute passion is communicating the Word of God in ways that draw people in and make them realize it is really for them. Jessica has written two Bible Studies: "Namesake: When God Rewrites Your Story" and "Women in the Word." She is married to her husband, Jim, and they have two small children, Drew and Kate. Kim Reisman is a pastor in the United Methodist Church and is the Executive Director of Next Step Evangelism Ministries, which provides faith shaping ministries in the context of retreats, seminars, workshops, and revivals both nationally and internationally. Kim is the author of numerous books. She is married to her husband, John, and they have three adult children.
