The Story study has begun, and we're humbled by the participation

 
We are pleased with the response of the congregation to the 31-week curriculum of The Story. Eleven Sunday School classes and two Pastors’ Bible Studies, Children’s Ministries, and Student Ministries comprise more than 650 individuals who will be studying the Bible together.
 

The Story study started this week in the Pastors' Bible Studies on Wednesday and Thursday. The Sunday School classes, Children's Ministries, and Student Ministries will begin the study this coming Sunday.
 
Our goal was to have multi generations studying the Bible and intentionally developing their faith outside of a one-hour Sunday morning. By offering a study that spans all age ranges, families will be able to continue the conversation that begins on Sunday morning throughout the week. We have high expectations of what God will do through this study and the lives of those who are participating.

The Story Bible study starts next week; pick up study materials Sunday, September 22

 
Anticipation has been building for a few weeks now, and we're finally about to embark on The Story, a 31-chapter Bible study that will take us through next May. The Pastors' Bible Studies begin Wednesday, September 25 (6:00-7:00 p.m.), followed by the Thursday group on September 26 (10:00-11:00 a.m.). Eleven of Arborlawn's adult Sunday School classes are beginning the study on Sunday, September 29. In addition, Arborlawn Student Ministries and Arborlawn Children's Ministries are conducting versions of the study.
 

For those participating in the Pastors' Bible Studies, please pick up your study materials this Sunday in the Lower Commons.  For those Sunday School classes that are participating, your books are in your classrooms.

The Story Bible Study starts the last week in September

 
A very special Bible study is coming to Arborlawn starting Wednesday, September 25 (6:00-7:00 p.m.) and Thursday, September 26 (10:00-11:00 a.m.) as we begin a 31-week Pastors’ Bible Study called The Story.
 
Beyond 90 Days, Connections, Cornerstone, Crossing Point, Faith Bible, New Hope, Open Door, Saints and Sinners, Searchers, Sojourners, and Warmed Heart.
 

The Story of Scripture... The Story of Your Life. “The greatest story ever told” is more than just a cliché. God goes to great lengths to reach out, love, and rescue all people. The Story is an exciting new church-wide experience that unites and equips participants as they engage the Bible. Reading like a novel, The Story offers a seamless, compelling narrative. Condensed into 31 accessible chapters, The Story sweeps readers into an unfolding chronological progression of Bible characters and events. This study turns everyday people into devoted Bible readers.
 
The Story will be offered for adults on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings. The children and students of Arborlawn will be studying The Story on Sunday morning during Sunday School. Our prayer is that multi-generations will come together to experience, discuss, and share their faith through The Story, both at church and at home. All age groups will follow the same calendar, so whatever one group is studying will be able to be shared and discussed with the other groups during the same week.
