Moms Group February 25: Music in Early Childhood Development

 
Moms Group is meeting Tuesday, February 25 in Room 224 at 6:00 p.m. Carol Spencer, Musikgarten leader, will be speaking about the importance of music in early childhood development and school preparation. A nursery is available if you RSVP to Stephanie Gravley.
 

Starting March 25, the 4th Tuesday of every month, Moms Group will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. at La Madeleine (Overton Plaza; Hulen at Westdale) to catch up and share the joys and challenges of being moms. All moms are welcome.

Moms Group will have a Social Night Out on Tuesday, January 14 at La Madeleine (Hulen and I-20) at 6:00 p.m. Moms are responsible for finding their own child care on Social Nights Out. Contact Allie Cobb for more information about Moms Group or this gathering.
 

The meeting on Tuesday, January 28 is a planning meeting in Room 224 at 6:00 p.m. Email Stephanie Gravley to reserve a spot in the nursery.

Moms Group: Christmas Cookie Exchange December 17

 
Moms Group will have its Christmas meeting on Tuesday, December 17 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 222. (The event was moved up a week to this date because of the recent ice storm.) We will have a brown bag dinner and invite you to join in the Christmas Cookie Exchange by bringing 2 dozen cookies (or whatever treats you choose).
 

Package 6 cookies each in 4 bags. Type or write the recipe and attach it to each bag. You can be as creative or simple as your mind and time allow! If you choose to buy cookies instead of baking, include the name of the store where you got them. All cookie bags will be placed together and each mom who brought cookies will be able to select 4 different bags of cookies to take home. Happy baking!
 
Bake extras? We'd love for you to bring those, too; we can give them to any new moms visiting us who may not have been aware of the exchange, or we can provide a little treat for the great nursery workers who faithfully take care of our kiddos during our meetings.

MOMS Group: Social night out to A Piece of Work September 10

 
Register online for our September 10 outing to A Piece of Work. They are offering us a reduced rate of $20 to repurpose a canvas as they guide us through the creation of our own art. A Piece of Work allows you to bring in food and drinks. Painting begins at 7:00 p.m., so arrive around 6:30 p.m. to have time to catch up with fellow moms. All moms are welcome to join us, but spots are limited; so register soon and list "MOMS" in the comments to ensure we sit together. (Please note child care is not available for social night MOMS Group events).
 

On September 24, MOMS Group will not meet so that moms (and spouses, friends, and parents) can attend Rev. Dr. Leanne Hadley's presentation in the Worship Center from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We will reschedule our planning meeting for October.

MOMS Group (Mothers Offering Mutual Support) is meeting Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 224 to hear Lindsey Brower give photography and editing tips. Also, a photographer will give some advice on how to take good snapshots. Childcare is available by contacting Nell Cantwell (817-731-0701).
 

The September 10 social night will be at A Piece of Work (5714 Locke Avenue, 76107) at 7:00 p.m. (Please note the one-hour-later-than-usual start time, and plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early). Cost is $20 for "green night" plus it's okay to bring food and drinks. (Please note childcare is not available for social night MOMS Group events).
