Guests are welcome to join us the next two Sundays as we continue Connecting With Arborlawn during the Sunday School hour in the Gathering Area outside the Family Life Center. This week we will focus on how to become deeper more devoted followers of Christ and next week we will look at the next steps to finding a place of connection here at Arborlawn. Everyone’s invited to join us Sunday, November 16 at 9:50 a.m. in Room 224 as we conclude the class “A Disciple’s Path.” Each week we are looking at Spiritual Disciplines from a Wesleyan perspective in search of a deeper understanding of Christ and the church. 
Our focus this final week is “The Way of Witness: Invitational Evangelism.” This study allows us the opportunity to reflect upon the vows we take when we join the United Methodist church and offers practical ways for us to be faithful to those vows through our everyday lives as followers of Christ. Our focus this fifth week is “The Way of Service: Spiritual Gifts and Gifts-Based Service.” This study allows us the opportunity to reflect upon the vows we take when we join the United Methodist church and offers practical ways for us to be faithful to those vows through our everyday lives as followers of Christ. Join us for coffee, tea, and snacks as we visit! This is a brief and informal gathering for guests to get acquainted with our clergy, share stories, and ask questions. A Disciple’s Path: Deepening Your Relationship With Christ and the Church

 
Have you ever felt that there was something you wanted, something you were missing, something you needed to do but did not know how? Have you ever had a sense that there ought to be more to church than just attending worship, making a pledge, and being on a committee? Have you ever felt that church should not just be where we go, but who we are? If you answered yes to any of those questions we invite you to join us on Sunday mornings as we help one another develop spiritual practices, discover our unique gifts, and become engaged in ministry that brings transformation to our lives, the lives of others, and the world.
