Arborlawn welcomes Rev. Dr. Leanne Hadley on Sunday, October 26. Dr. Hadley, a noted expert on children's issues, particularly as they relate to the faith walk and navigating our challenging culture, conducted a workshop here in the fall of 2013 about helping children understand God. She offered many valuable insights to us at that time, so we're thrilled to have her back! We invite everyone to come hear this dynamic advocate for children's faith issues.
Leanne will be having a conversation with Rev. Ben Disney at both the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services on October 26.
She will also be speaking in the Worship Center at 9:45 a.m. that day. Leanne will be focusing on how parents, families and the church can learn from and be in ministry with children in our congregation and community. Leanne is a gifted speaker and author and an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church. She’s worked extensively with children and families in regard to faith development, particularly in the current climate of difficulties and challenges facing our children. The event is open to everyone including other adult Sunday School classes who may wish to join us at 9:45 a.m.
From Leanne Hadley’s web site, called “Caring About Kids”: “This world has become a difficult place for kids! They face divorce, bullying, school shootings, social media issues, death of loved ones, deployment of a parent and the list could go on and on! We need to help kids learn to cope, heal, and navigate this world. I am here to help!”
