During the month of June the youth group traveled to Roswell, New Mexico and Acton, Texas for the annual Senior High and Junior High mission trips.
The students did construction work on homes for four days in the local community. Such work included building wheel chair ramps, home repairs on windows and doors, yard work, and painting the outside of homes.
“My favorite part of the trip was seeing our clients' faces at the end of the week and how appreciative they were,” said by incoming senior, John Grady.
The Junior High students worked for three days on a farm that provides fresh produce to local food banks. The students harvested vegetables, pulled weeds, and repaired a pheasant coop.
Incoming seventh grader, Anna Schumacher, said her favorite part of junior high mission trip was getting to know the other students by working in the different groups every day.
Through the month of July and August be sure to check the Arborlawn Students website for the scheduled weekly activities. Also, check out Student Ministries videos here.
