Most of you know LeeAnn Wendell. She’s starting working with us over the summer as one of our summer interns. She stuck around last semester as one of our small group leaders with the 7th grade girls. Now, she’s one of our Community Specialists with Nick!
LeeAnn is from Rhome, TX and she’s now at UTA. She’s very active in the Wesley Foundation at UTA where she’s served in a leadership capacity since she was a freshman. LeeAnn also lives in a Neo Monastic house (which is a fancy way of saying that she lives in Christian Community)... you should ask her about this!
When we met LeeAnn she voiced a real call to ministry. You can see that through her daily activities. She was working at Michael’s in the framing department and that was the one thing that fell outside her strong ministry call. We are excited that we were able to offer her a position that allows her to focus more on what she loves - being in ministry with students. She might still be able to frame a picture well... but she doesn’t have to work that job anymore!
LeeAnn is here with us Sundays and Wednesdays, but her focus is being outside the church walls. If you have something going on, we’d love to support you. Let us know what activities you're involved in!
We are thankful for LeeAnn and her continued ministry with us here at Arborlawn Students!
