Our December Spotlight is on Nick Hamilton. Nick has been with Student Ministries for a little over two years now. He is no stranger to the group. He first started volunteering during Wired and Anthem playing drums for a year before becoming a Summer intern in 2012. He regularly teaches Junior High Sunday school and helps with Summer and Sunday Night Programming.
Starting in January, Nick will be joining the Student Ministries team in an expanded capacity. His responsibilities include focusing on being involved with the students where they are: at school events, sporting events, teaching Sunday school and continuing to help lead worship.
Eighth grader Matthew Crawford said, "Nick is always willing to help you beyond church and youth. He comes to support us at school events and gives us advice on what to do in our school lives."
"It is so great that Nick loves to support our teens at church and in the community," says Abby Johnson. This past semester, he made it to most of the football, volleyball, other sporting events, and a couple band competitions to support our students, and he will continue to do so into the spring sports seasons, as well as attend any plays or concerts that our students are in. "He has already expanded our ministry in some really great ways beyond our walls here at church, and we look forward to bringing Nick into more roles."
We have been blessed with the energy, enthusiasm, and commitment that he continually brings to our group. We are so excited to welcome Nick to the staff!
