School has just now ended for another year, but the fall semester will be here before we know it. (Time always flies, especially in the summer it seems). When we think about school, one of the things that always comes to mind is Arborlawn’s partnership with J. T. Stevens Elementary School through Kids Hope USA.
Many Arborlawn volunteers have embraced this program – this mission – and have formed wonderful mentoring relationships with the students at J. T. Stevens. It only takes one hour each week, but the difference the mentor makes in the life of one child is beyond measure. Others help by being prayer partners for the mentor-kid relationships.
Laurie Ryan and Shirley Watkins are conducting another Kids Hope training session on Wednesday, July 24 if you want to get on board with this life-changing effort. (The kids’ lives change; the adults’ live change; it’s a good thing all around). Watch for more details about training specifics as the date draws nearer. And meanwhile pray about what God will do when you step forward and join the Kids Hope movement.
