A group of Arborlawn adult missionaries are doing work at the UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Sager Brown Depot outside of Baldwin, Louisiana April 7-12. We ask everyone to pray for this mission and for the safe travels of our church family members who are participating.
The United Methodist Church is prepared to aid relief efforts in any part of the world because of UMCOR. The Sager Brown Depot stockpiles disaster relief supplies and stages them for ready distribution to global emergency zones.
The main mission effort of the Arborlawn group is to pack relief supplies. The relief packages include health kits, birthing kits, school kits, and layettes. Some group members also work in Baldwin at Habitat for Humanity projects, elementary schools, and at a women's shelter.
