From David Brownfield: Open Door Sunday School class members served dinner to Samaritan House residents on Thursday, February 28.
This year at the Samaritan House, over 400 people will have the opportunity to rebuild lives ravaged by financial hardship and serious illness. The mission is to create a supportive community providing housing and resources for positive change in the lives of persons living with HIV/AIDS and other special needs.
Arborlawn helps by providing and serving dinner to the residents each month. Sunday School classes and small groups volunteer each month to help with this cause. Arborlawn is among a larger group of churches that help in this outreach.
Thanks to all the members of the Open Door Class who provided food (and their time to serve it). We also want to acknowledge the generosity of our Hulen-area Chicken Express restaurant in helping to sponsor this worthy mission project. It is a great mission that benefits those who receive as well those who give.
