Have you ever wanted to read the entire Bible? Have you ever started reading the Bible and gotten overwhelmed before finishing? Do you think you would have a better chance of reading the Bible if you were part of a supportive group making the same commitment to studying scripture? What if you could read the entire Bible—cover to cover—in just 90 days?
Beginning January 2012, Arborlawn will embark on an exciting journey through the Bible. Together, we will commit to read the entire Bible in just three months. Reading twelve pages a day, participants will start at Genesis and read the stories of both the Old and New Testaments. Readings will be enhanced by weekly gatherings for small group discussion and video teaching sessions. Fellow participants will encourage accountability and will support one another throughout the three months of reading.
We invite you to pray about your participation in The Bible in 90 Days. Weekly gatherings will meet for one hour and will be offered Sunday evenings at 6 p.m., Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m., and Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. Participants may choose the gathering time that best fits their schedule. Childcare will be offered at each weekly gathering.
The Bible in 90 Days was developed by Ted Cooper, Jr. who became a Christian when he read the Bible in its entirety. Through the scripture, Cooper experienced God’s love in a life-changing way. Cooper’s life was changed so profoundly that he wanted to share the opportunity to read Scripture with others. The program includes a New International Version Bible that is formatted in a slim design with large print so participants read just twelve pages a day. Additionally, a participant’s guide offers a place to detail insights from the daily readings and group discussions.
The Bible in 90 Days will be an important ministry at Arborlawn in 2012! The excitement is growing as we prepare to study to the scriptures together as a church family. We hope you will join us.
