Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer – Wednesdays, Sept. 7 through Oct. 19, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Room 222, Main Building – This is a seven-week, DVD-based study of Shirer’s book about Jonah. There and Then by Beth Moore – Wednesdays, Sept. 7 through Nov. 16, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Room 225, Main Building – Through this 11-session DVD and discussion series on the book of Revelation, Moore presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman by Beth Moore – Mondays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 21, 6-8 p.m., Room 222, Main Building – If you’ve ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the Bible study for you. In this ten-week Bible study, Moore leads women through the book of Esther and helps them explore its contemporary applications. More details: Contact Lynne Farrar.
Peace by Calvin Miller – Thursdays, Sept. 1 through Oct. 6, Room 222, Main Building – The Place to Belong group is beginning its second year of serving women who are single or who are worshiping alone. Our fall study is a six-week session on Miller’s book. God’s prescription for peace helps people overcome anxiety and learn how to be at peace with others. The book costs $13.
