Everyone's invited to participate in our annual Advent Pastors' Bible Study. This year's study is called "Late Arrival: The Advent of Hope and the Birth of Jesus." As usual with our Pastors' Bible Study series, two sessions will be offered. Rev. DeAndrea Dare leads the Wednesday evening section on Dec. 5, 12, and 19 from 6-7 p.m. in Room 225. Rev. Ben Disney teaches the Thursday morning section on Dec. 6, 13, and 20 in the Worship Center.
Parents know all too well the anxious moments after the due date passes and the prolonged, agonizing wait for the birth of their child begins. To a nation desperately longing for a messiah, the birth of Jesus must have seemed like a late arrival. Over the centuries prophets pointed toward it, priests prayed for its coming, wise men searched for a sign, and a nation longed to see the fulfillment of God’s promise. Join us for this three-week Advent Bible Study series as we explore the work of the Holy Spirit leading to the birth of Jesus, the birth of the Church, and the Advent of our own lives.
